LOVE STORY by Eider A. (DBH 2)

LOVE STORY The truth is never easy to tell, especially when it concerns matters of the heart. But I'll tell you my story anyway. It all began when I was a kid, back at Primary school. I noticed her on the first day, and I guess she noticed me too. We where both seven-but she was the first girl I kissed. We used to play at her house, every weekend. I wasn't interested in anybody, or anything else. She was my life.

And then, three months later, she said that her family was moving to Australia. I said, "Oh that's OK. I'll visit you", but she told me that it was thousands of miles away, and that she wouldn't be coming back. Then once she had really gone, I had to accept that I would never see her again.

Twenty years later…

I recogniced her. Yes, she was her. The time had changed her; now, she was a woman. A big hat was on her blond hair, so I could not see her well. But I knew she was that girl. That girl I had loved many years ago, and that girl I had never been able to forget. She was wearing a green dress, she was very-very beautiful, I had never seen a more beautiful woman. She was special, magical.

She looked at me, and she recogniced me, too. In that stare we remembered all the time we stayed together; that magic time.

We started speaking. We were in front of a bar in Copenhagen, Denmark. She told me she was travelling trough Europe, I told her I was working there. We stayed hours speaking. Finally I invited her to dinner.

It was very romantic. We loved each other. But we stayed together no more than a week. She continued being kind, beautiful and that all, but I realized she wasn't the same. The time had changed her. That love it could not continue. We were not the same people, and when we realized that, we decided to leave all.

Nowadays, I remember her too. Also, I love her. But it could not be that love. The time changes people, and also it changes us.
