GRANTS FOR LEARNING ABROAD IN SUMMER

Students from DBH3, DBH4, BATX 1 and BATX 2 can apply for a grant to go abroad in summer to learn English or French. If you are interested in applying for one of these, have a look at the information on dates, requirements, conditions etc before you fill in the application form.Follow these steps:

• Use a computer (not a tablet or mobile phone)
• Enter this page
• Then click on "Aurkeztu beharreko dokumentuak"
• Then "onartzen dut"
• Fill in the form and "aurre.eskakizuna bidali"
• then "jarraitu"
• Print the page and sign it. Bring it with your NAN photocopy

You should fill in the application form, print it, sign it (you and your parents) and together with the photocopy of your identity card, give it to your English teacher by November 11th (Wednesday). Otherwise we may not have enough time to send all the application forms in time.

Christmas is already among us! Streets glittering with colourful lights, Christmas carols, cold weather ... snow is the only element which is missing. And who knows, we still may have a white Christmas!

THREE STUDENTS GET GRANTS

The provisional lists of students who have been given grants to go abroad have already been published (visit this to see the list): three of our students are in the list: one from Batxi 2, one from Batxi 1 and even a young one from DBH3. Even if we know that it is still provisional, we want to congratulate them. We will publish their names on another post when definite results are published.

There are a few things you should take into account when looking at the lists, especially if you think there is something unfair or wrong. There are various factors that affect the results: the choice you applied for (Canada, UK, Ireland...), the marks, the territory you are a student from (a student with a lower result can be given a grant in Bizkaia, for instance, depending on the applicants' marks in that province), whether you get grants for education or not...

In any case, if you still think there is something unfair in the results, you can always make a complaint. See this page.

72 candidates for the FCE EXAM at Laskorain!

Today 72 students sat for the FCE writing exam at Laskorain Ikastola and on 13th December, they will be doing the speaking exam. These are the first students to do the updated version of the FCE exam. Some of our students are among these candidates. Good luck to all!

Laskorain ikastola has been awarded with the GOLDEN Q. We have been working very hard to get it, but the result is there! 4 STUDENTS GRANTED

Four of our students have been given a grant to go abroad this summer. Three of them will be going to United Kingdom and one of them will go to Canada. They are all studying Batxilergo 1. Congratulations! This encourages us to continue trying in the future.

GRANTS TO GO ABROAD

Do you want to go abroad this summer? Have you got good marks in English? The Basque Government's Education department is giving some grants to students who want to spend one month abroad. Look for this information at "atzerriko bekak" (on the right side of this page). The last day to apply for the grant is November 23rd. You won't regret trying!
