WANT TO SEE PICTURES OF MEDIEVAL HOUSES?

We have found a lot of pictures of medieval houses by surfing the net. The only thing you have to do is write "medieval houses" or "medieval manor houses" in the image section of Google. Here's a selection of these pictures.
To start with, look at this peasant home with the straw roof and the small windows without glass. Many other haven't survived because they were made of timber.
Notice the fireplace in the middle of the room.
Notice the difference between the houses above and the following manor houses, with their lattice windows and tiled roofs:

By the way, many of you wondered what a lattice window was. Here's a picture of a lattice window. We hope it will help.

    It is very interesting to comper medieval houses with nowadays houses.

  7. The medieval peasants houses were good houses to live in summer but in the winter the rain and the snow used to destroy the roof. However the manor houses were more certain and the lords lived quite well.

    2. The peasants roofs were made of straw. However the manor houses had tiled roofs.
    3. Peasants and manors had fireplaces, but manors had more than one.

    2.Whereas the peasants lived in small huts made of local stones, the rich lived in manor houses.
    3.The rich in the 1900s had electric bulb to lit the house, but the peasant in the 1900s had candles.
