  1. 1. The fact that Mexico City is mentioned in the text is that it has a defficient existing system, such as, leaking pipes and faulty equipment. For example, with the losed water they could finish with the needs of a city like Rome.
    2. People's attitude, towards the use of water, has changed along the 20th century in the sense that the useful freshwater they used doubled.

  2. 1-The text says that a huge amount of water is waste all over the world, because of leaking pipes and faulty equipments . One of these cities is Mexico City, it loses enough water to meet the needs of a city the size of Rome.

    2-Nowadays, thanks to the new technology and greater awareness of this problem, water is used more efficiently. People around the world is also more effective at protesting against the effects of water use.

    During the last years, we manage to get the water we need to live more and more easily in all the developed countries, and that is why we don't think about the importance of using it properly. However, many different associations are working hard in order to take some measures as a solution for the problem.
