Hi, this is a post for batxi 2 students. You've read a text about water conservation. Will you please answer  these two questions by writing a comment on this post?

    1. The fact that Mexico City is mentioned in the text is that it has a defficient existing system, such as, leaking pipes and faulty equipment. For example, with the losed water they could finish with the needs of a city like Rome.
    2. People's attitude, towards the use of water, has changed along the 20th century in the sense that the useful freshwater they used doubled.

    1-The text says that a huge amount of water is waste all over the world, because of leaking pipes and faulty equipments . One of these cities is Mexico City, it loses enough water to meet the needs of a city the size of Rome.

    2-Nowadays, thanks to the new technology and greater awareness of this problem, water is used more efficiently. People around the world is also more effective at protesting against the effects of water use.

    2- Along the 20th century, peoples's attitude towards the use of water changed because at that time the water was used too much; so they realised that they have to put some facilities to keep water.

    2- People's attitude towards the use of water changed a lot along the 20th century. Firstly people don't control the use of water, in adition, the use of water doubled in that period. However, after that, people matured and the use of water decreased.

    Mexico City is used in this text as an example of a place where much water is wasted and to make us believe that we could all live well enough using water in more careful ways.

    During the last years, we manage to get the water we need to live more and more easily in all the developed countries, and that is why we don't think about the importance of using it properly. However, many different associations are working hard in order to take some measures as a solution for the problem.

    2. People's attitude has changed because now most of the people is worried about the drought that threatens some areas. Nobody wants to suffer without water, so they are more conscious at the time of using it. Everybody knows that water is one of the most important things that we have.

    During the first 75 years of the 20th century, the amount of water consumed by each person increased a lot and many facilities were built. However, in the last years our society has become aware of the importance of not wasting water.
