Everybody to the BEC!

Hi.

Yesterday teachers, parents and students from Laskorain went to the Bilbao Exhibition Centre to get our Golden Q.

We left Tolosa at 5 o'clock. A bus left from Usabal and another one from Sakramentinoak. We all looked very elegant, didn't we?

We got on the coach and after ten minutes we were leaving Tolosa. We had to arrive at the BEC before seven and we were a bit nervous.

When we arrived it was raining (as usual), and it was very dark, so I'm afraid the photographs are not of the best quality. But here they are:

The inside of the BEC was enormous, but the place were the ceremony took place couldn't be said to be "too elegant". The red chairs were not specially "comfortable" either, but we had such a good time!!

And the ceremony began:

And after almost two hours waiting and clapping (27 silver Qs were awarded before our great Golden Q arrived), Usabalgo Laskorain Ikastola was announced and the place was invaded with our shouts, claps, emotion... (it can't be described). I'm sure the 3000 people there noticed where we were. Finally our "zuzendari", Jone was called and she received the prize from the Lehendakari Juan Jose Ibarretxe. And after the speeches, COCKTAIL!!! Cheese, lamb, fish, more cheese, drinks, more cheese, "txistorra" , more cheese...and finally the CAKES!!!
