medieval clothes

Here are some pictures of medieval clothes. The first picture shows peasant men in their costumes: stockings, tunics, hoods, poulaines... Now we will show you real medieval robes that peasant men used. These are now shown in a museum: And we also have a peasant woman's robe:

Sometimes they were tied in the waist, like this:

To finish with peasants, here's a couple working:

The following show wealthy women in their long gowns with more elborate headdresses. You can also see knights with their fighting clothes.

These were "poulaines", medieval shoes:

  3. I absolutely agree with you Miren. Being beautiful should never involve suffering. Besides, who said that having such a tight waist and such big hips was beautiful? Personally I don't find them beautiful at all.

We can see that in the medieval period the living conditions were very hard. Firstly, 'cause of the material; the houses were made of straw and stones. Secondly, they couldn't afford to many things as we have nowadays. Finally, the pictures help us to know how they live in the medieval period.
    Bye!

Is amazing the diferences between the peasant's clothes and the lord's clothes. The peasants had horrible tunics and robes. However, the clothes of the lords and his wifes were so beautiful. Also the rich women used to have very elaborated headdresses.
    Bye!
