POCKET MONEY
Hi! Today, one of the tasks some Batxilergo students had to do was related to teenagers and pocket money. Do you get regular pocket money? Weekly? Monthly? Only when necessary? What's the best? Do you have problems to make ends meet? Do you do any chores (or housework) for that pocket money or allowance? Or do you think your parents shouldn't expect you to do any chores apart from studying? Well, i get 15 Euros each week and I think it's great because you learn how to administrate you own money. I never spend the whole amount, and I always save about 8 Euros. I know i'm given quite a lot of money but when theres something special I want, such as clothes I pay for it.I usually spend my saving in Cds.

I get pocket money. They gime me enough money and when I need more they also give me.
ReplyDeleteI do some chores to get pocket money, for example, to make the bed and repair something.
We get pocket money weekly. In our opinion it is better like this, otherwise, you spend everything in the first week. We get enough money and we don't have to do any chores to get it.

I get pocket money weekly.They don`t give me much money but when I need more money they give me. I don't have to do any chores to get pocket money, but sometimes I do chores to get more money. For example, paint the garden and repair something.

ReplyDeleteI'm not that kind of person who receives pocket money weekly or monthly; in my case, I ask for money just when it's necessary or I need it for an specific reason( go shopping, going out at nights etc.).I'm happy with the system and I don't have problems to make ends meet!Regarding to the housework my mum ask me to do,I'm not usually rewarded with any pocket money.As all mums say: That's your work!

ReplyDeleteI get an allowance of about 10€ per week and personally I think it's enough, although who wouldn't mind getting a bit more?
I think pocket money is a good way to have an idea of what would be our economic responsibility when we start managing our own salary. For the moment, I have pocket money when I need, so I don`t receive a regular allowance. It's a good way of having some money, but of course, you don't have to abuse of your parents confidence.

ReplyDeletein my case, i haven't got any pocket money and when I need money I ask my parents for it. I think that to have your own pocket money is very useful and important because you can study to control the money. however I am very happy with the money I get.
My parents give me money when I need and I like this system, but in some cases Iwould like to have a regular allowance to save up some money.The second system also is useful to learn how to administrate the pocket money. My parents say that doing houseworks also is my responsability so they don´t give me extra money.
ReplyDeleteI get my pocket money monthly, I receive 40€ per month. It´s quite a lot but in this way you learn how to administrate your own money. I never spend all my pocket money so I save the rest for special occassions such as concerts, CDs, going shopping...Don´t you think that with all the festivities we have near Tolosa (specially in summer) we need money?
ReplyDeleteI don´t receive pocket money regulary. My mother gives me money when I need,and honestly I´m happy wiht the sistem,because I obtain enough money for the things I do and I don´t have problems to save some. I think also this is the best way to control your money and not to spend on unnecessary things. Finally I don´t receive money for doing housework, and I´m agree with that because are our works.
ReplyDeleteIn my case, I don't get any pocket money regularly. I ask my parents when I need to buy something important, or if I want to buy something that it isn't so necessary, I pay it from my savings. Also I don't have to do any chore or work to get the pocket money.
ReplyDeleteI don´t get regular pocket money, when I need money to buy something or to go out, I ask to my parents and they give me. But also,some uncles or aunts give me some money when I visited them.So the advantages of this way are that I can save up some money and that normally you can´t have problems to make ends meet. They don´t give me money when I make any chores.
ReplyDeleteI don´t get pocket money regulary, but when I need money for diferent reasons ( go shopping, etc ) my mun gives me. We know that with this system we can´t save up money, but, in my opinion, it is better than the other.Finally, I don´t do any special chore for money, if i have to clean my room, I do it.
ReplyDeleteI don´t get allowance regulary and my parents give me money when I ask them. I like this system but I think that if you receive allowance you learn how to administrate your own money. they give me enought money and I don´t have problems to make ends meet and always I save something.
ReplyDeleteI receive 10€ weekly and for me it isn't enough although I save most of it to buy things that I want or for going out at nights. I also do chores for earning more pocket money. But those chores are in addition to my "obligations". So, I think that it is good if your parents give allowance for the housework you do. It's another way to earn more money because it does really help.
ReplyDeleteI don´t receive pocket money weekly or monthly, I just receive it when it´s necessary,even though I have to say that sometimes I would like to have more allowance,so in that case,I have to be content. But it´s true that I am very happy with this system.I think it´s better,although you can´t save up money,but you learn to administrate your pocket money. Furthermore, when your parents give you money weekly or monthly,in my opinion there is tendency to spend all the money and ask for more,and not to keep for your savings. Finally, I don´t recive any allowance for doing houseworks,because they tell me that it is also my work.

ReplyDeleteI receive pocket money every week and i think that´s the best way of giving pocket money. I have only that money, and i have to administer it. In this way you learn how inportant saving is.
